Pebble Rock Fauna

We are blessed to share this estate with an abundance of animals and birds. To mention just a few: Impala, nyala, duiker, springbok, water monitor, hare, chameleon, agama lizard and hedgehog. Birders can spot various species of kingfishers, cuckoos, herons, sunbirds and birds of prey. Some of the more unusual sightings recently have been: Goliath heron, African spoonbill, Black crake, Giant kingfisher, African harrier-hawk and Pearl-spotted owlet.

Pebble Rock Flora

Pebble Rock is a bushveld estate within the Seringveld conservation area. The green carpet of the golf course is surrounded by bushveld, where Burkea africana, Dombeya rotundifolia and various acacia species abound. The golf course has several reed-fringed dams, which add further aesthetic appeal. Using indigenous trees, grass and plants in the residential gardens is promoted. Estate management and residents are actively trying to control invasive species like pom-poms and lantana.

About

Pebble Rock Residential Estate

Pebble Rock Golf and Bushveld Estate was established in 2004. It consists of 104 plots and 293 stands, most of which face the golf course.

The 18-hole golf course starts and ends at the imposing clubhouse, which has an expansive view over the course. The clubhouse is not just for golfers. There is a restaurant and a halfway house, as well as a play area for children. The clubhouse can be booked for events.

The estate is managed by the estate manager, working together with Pebble Rock HOA and Burkea Park HOA. Jointly, they ensure the smooth running of all aspects of the estate. Residents are kept informed via the security app.

Safety & security of residents is the top priority. To ensure this, the estate has:

  • Perimeter fencing all around with cameras, which operate day and night, even with loadshedding
  • Off-site monitoring
  • Armed response
  • Armed guards and
  • Fast and reliable facial recognition access control

This means residents can enjoy walks with family or their dog and children can safely play outside.
